From my perspective, I think the sport of hunting will pretty much be gone in the next 50 years...
Over the years, it seems like everything is against hunters.
1. Gun rights are becoming a hot-button issue.... and I think support for 2nd amendment rights is falling.
2. Land is becoming too expensive and harder to access... and public land opportunities are not expanding.
3. Younger generations are not picking up the sport. Either because it's frowned upon or older generations aren't passing down the knowledge/experience.
4. The view of killing an animal is perceived as all negative... even though Americans don't see anything wrong with a commercially produced Big Mac.
5. Hunting gear is becoming too expensive - not a lot of cheap, quality options on the market as compared to prior years.
Anyways.... glad I was raised around the sport, but I feel bad for future generations and the future of hunting.
